Valerie Brown Troutt is a visual artist, pastor and teacher.
Art and creativity is a sacred platform that fuels Valerie’s passion for expression of life experienced and hoped for as a woman of the African Diaspora.  She believes it is a gift to be creative.  Black culture birthed in her the power to breathe and exhale in beauty and the wonders of this life despite overt racism and constant struggles for justice . What is in her and what has brought her along life’s journey can be found in her images of  collage and paint.  She loves the use of reuse materials because they best capture, interpret and sustain things that are often lost in time.
